Staying ahead goes way beyond being the leading innovator. It is about doing everything we can to ensure we remain at the forefront of the industry. At Flowbird, all our processes, products and standards have been developed to ensure employees are challenged, customers are satisfied, and that we all feel that we contribute to keeping our cities moving.

Flowbird Group's quality policy

Customer Satisfaction

The way customers perceive the quality of our products and services is important to Flowbird. We want our customers to be satisfied with the quality of our products and services, the way our solutions work, both individually and together, and that they perceive us as a leader in the market where we are present. Furthermore, we want our customers to be confident that we provide the most modern, innovative solutions that the market has to offer; that we keep our promises and have faith in the expertise that we possess in our business sector.

Employee Satisfaction

We care about the way each employee perceives the quality and innovation that Flowbird provides. We strive to be satisfied with the quality of what we produce and deliver. We also aim to ensure that there is sufficient openness and scope for creativity and skills development, in order to improve the quality of what we produce, and to foster the innovation of Flowbird's products and services.

Review and Continuous Improvement

We constantly strive to improve quality and utilise resources more efficiently in our work, in order to deliver the right solution, at the right time, to the right recipient. We actively review the way our customers, employees and partners perceive us and the quality that we provide, and, where necessary, establish and modify quality objectives related to these. In cases where we fail to meet our quality objectives, we identify the reasons for this and prioritise corrective measures.

Proactivity and Quality Assurance

In order to avoid the occurrence of defects in quality, we work in a systematic way to identify potential risks, minimise the likelihood of their occurrence, and ensure that there is no impact on the quality that we provide. We always ensure that we understand the wishes of our customers, employees and partners, and that what we deliver corresponds with these wishes. In order to meet the future expectations of our customers and partners, and to maintain the quality that we provide, we regularly seek to acquire both practical and theoretical expertise in relation to market trends and associated technological fields. In order to demonstrate satisfactory quality management, we strive to work systematically with quality issues in line with the latest edition of the ISO 9001.

Flowbird's Environmental Policy

Environmental policy

Flowbird constantly strives to minimise our environmental impact and comply with the latest environmental legislation, as well as other requirements and regulations, which apply in our business sector and the markets in which we operate.

Our Operations

We carry out long-term planning in relation to our need for supplies and transportation, in order to be able to choose appropriate modes of transport with minimal environmental impact. For those services that cannot be performed remotely, we have sufficient knowledge and expertise to perform them locally. We never use more consumable materials than necessary and constantly strive to find new ways of replacing these with digital solutions.

Our Products and Services

Our terminals and hardware are continuously developed with the aim of having a minimal impact on health and the environment during manufacture, use and recycling. We aim to ensure that our products have minimal content of, and dependence on substances that may be hazardous to health and the environment, in relation to extraction, processing, use and recycling.

Compliance with Laws and Regulations

We regularly seek external advice in relation to both new and updated rules and regulations that apply to our areas of operation, as well as environmental trends related to our business sector. Further to this, we review compliance with current laws and requirements on a regular basis. In order to demonstrate satisfactory environmental management, we strive to work systematically with environmental issues in line with the latest edition of ISO 14001.

Following the banking industry’s most stringent compliance requirements

Payment Card Industry (PCI) approved

The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is a set of requirements designed to ensure that all companies that process, store or transmit credit card information maintain a secure environment.

The Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council (PCI SSC) was launched on September 2006 to manage the ongoing evolution of the Payment Card Industry (PCI) security standards with focus on improving payment account security throughout the transaction process. The PCI DSS is administered and managed by the PCI SSC, an independent body that was created by the major payment card brands (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and JCB).

In order to meet increased security requirements for card payments, Flowbird offers online authorisation of payment card transactions, thereby improving overall security and decreasing the risk of fraud. Flowbird’s online card processing solution is compliant with PCI DSS Level 1 at all stages of our products and services.

A copy of the PCI Certificate is available here.

Europay MasterCard VISA/ EMV certified

EMV is a standard for more secure interoperability between credit and debit cards, and payment terminals. The standard is entirely based on microprocessor technology, which is much more secure than the magnetic-stripe technology. The acronym EMV comes from Europay, MasterCard and VISA - the three companies that originally co-operated to develop the standard.

The EMV standard defines the interaction between the devices that process payment cards for financial transactions at four levels: physical, electrical, data and application level.

To meet future requirements for secure card payments, Flowbird has worked with leading card-reader manufactures to develop full EMV solutions.

A copy of the EMV Certificate is available here.

ISO 9001:2015 certified

The quality of our products and services can only be maintained within a healthy organisation. To avoid the occurrence of defects in quality, we work in a systematic and structured way to identify potential risks and always ensure that our employees understand the wishes of our customers and partners, and that what we deliver must exceed their expectations.

The certified quality control is currently monitored by Intertek, an independent, authorised organisation who conduct the external audits.

ISAE 3402 compliant

International Standard on Assurance Engagements, ISAE No. 3402 is a standard for reporting on controls at service organisations and has become the dominant platform. The aim of ISAE 3402 is to comprehensively test the internal control system of an organisation and to evaluate its effectiveness in detail.

ISAE No. 3402, Assurance Reports on Controls at a Service Organisation, was issued in December 2009 by the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB), which is part of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC). ISAE 3402 was developed to provide an international assurance standard for allowing public accountants to issue a report on the controls at a service organisation that are likely to impact or be a part of the user organisation’s system of internal control over financial reporting. This engagement allows a service organisation to have its control policies and procedures evaluated and tested by an independent party.

ISAE 3402 compliance provides Flowbird customers with a level of assurance about our corporate controls. Deloitte conducted the Flowbird’s ISAE 3402 audit in December 2015.

ISO 14001:2015 Certified

Flowbird constantly strives to minimise environmental impact and comply with the latest environmental legislation, as well as other requirements and regulations, which apply in our business sector and the markets in which we operate in line with the latest edition of ISO14001.

Our hardware is continuously developed with the aim of having a minimal impact on health and the environment during manufacture, in service and when they are withdrawn from their life on the streets. Our robust terminals are already 99.5% recyclable but we are not stopping there. We never use more consumable materials than necessary and constantly strive to find new ways of replacing them with digital solutions when this is possible. Further, we always use transportation means with minimal environmental impact.

We regularly seek advice in relation to both new and updated rules and regulations that apply to our areas of operation and beyond,to leave a minimal “foot print” on the environment.

The certified environmental management is currently monitored by Intertek, an independent, authorised organisation that conducts the external audits.
