Seeing Yellow?

Cale America Ships Off 35 Eye-Catching Parking Meters to California

After 2 months of being in production, The Cale America warehouse is saying goodbye to 35 bright yellow parking terminals, heading cross country to Los Rios, California.

Los Rios is a historic town 20 minutes south of Sacramento. It’s known for having one of the country’s largest community colleges, Los Rios Community College, where 57 new yellow meters will soon be installed and brightly displayed.

“They wanted something that stands out more in California,” says Cale America’s Regional Sales Representative, Max Corotis. “We can make meters in virtually any color imaginable, event 2-toned for University colors.”

Los Rios originally started out with 20 older Cale models and 35 competitor meters. With Cale America being one of the few parking meter distributors to customize terminal colors, it was a fast decision to convert all 55 meters to Cale’s Web Terminal (CWT).

The freshly painted CWT meters will have all of the modern and reliable features that Cale is known for, including the alphanumeric keypad that enables use of ticketless services. Customers will also be able to extend their parking time at the terminal – or anywhere using our mobile app WayToPark. The Los Rios meter will be designed to serve the student community, being able to accept payment via credit cards or bills.

“It was a great decision for them,” says Corotis, “These will benefit the college community greatly.”

Packing and shipping has begun on the ‘Los Rios meters’ and is expected to be complete by early October.
